Has anyone ever heard/used the Dolica Proline tripod? I’m looking for a lightweight travel tripod and this one seems to get pretty high reviews on Amazon.

I recently purchased the Lowepro Slingshot 200. It’s a very nice convenient bag for my DSLR camera and it’s helpful that you can reorganize the padding inside to accomodate your ever changing needs.

The only downside I see to the bag is the fact that it only has one shoulder pad. Over the course of the day, my right shoulder bears the entire weight of the bag and is sore by the end of the day. On some days, I’m carrying upwards of 20 pounds of equipment and that’s a lot of weight on one shoulder.

Instead, I recommend the Lowepro Flipside 300. It’s pretty similar in size to the Slingshot 200 but it’s more backpack-like than sling-like. It has two shoulder straps to spread the weight evenly to both shoulders. I must say, it’s much more comfortable to carry around my camera equipment all day with the Flipside than the Slingshot.

Here’s a great low-light lens for all you photogs out there. It’s small, light and inexpensive. This is almost a must-have for any aspiring photographer out there. You’ll eventually want to upgrade to either the Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens or maybe even the Canon 50mm f/1.2 L lens but this one will get you started.
